The laundry room has a built-in ironing board. Relax on the front porch or sit in the hot tub in the back as your family roasts marshmallows in the fire pit. You can relax or hike down to the pond where you can see 'Jack' the donkey or fish.

Home is set on 2 1/2 acres! Bring your ATV's and have the time of your life exploring! There is an additional television upstairs incase children want to bring their xbox/nintendo/etc. Has a Roku for your convenience.

Home is a skip and a hop to the Cataloochee Mountain State Park where you can view elk and hike...do not miss this park! We are close to Cataloochee Ski Resort as well! Close to Interstate 40 which can get you to the larger cities quick.

Nice place for our family

Great outdoor space, plenty of room for the grandkids to run and play. An older home but worked well for our large family.

The property is beautiful! There was plenty of room for the family. We especially loved the fire pit in the backyard. The kids loved the many games in the house and the vast yard. Beware of bears! A momma and her two cubs were in the front yard on the evening.

Skiing fun

We were a group of four families that got together for a weekend of skiing at Cataloochee Mountain. This home was close, clean, convenient and very comfortable! Would definitely rent it again!

Great Space for Family Togetherness

This was my group’s first time staying in the mountainous part of Lake Junaluska/Waynesville. The steep roads took some getting used to, but the views were beautiful and the home and area around it were very peaceful and serene. The house was very clean on check-in, and there was lots of space for my group of eight to spread out and relax. A couple of issues came up over the week and the owner Delia was very prompt and courteous in responding to my questions/concerns. She was really great! Also there is the most adorable donkey we nicknamed Fernando and his little duck friend that follows him around just down the street who brought us a lot of joy. :-) We did a lot of cooking and baking in the kitchen (it was well-equipped) and laughing and talking around the table. Thank you for this wonderful week!

Family Christmas

We loved our stay. The house sits on a hill and so pretty. It is huge, our kids all had their own space. It was peaceful and the fire pit was a great way to end the day. You’re close enough to Cherokee and Maggie Valley to shop and sight see but far enough out to feel like your in the heart of the mountains.

Spacious and clean

We had a great time during our stay at this property. There were 21 in our group with ages ranging from less than a year old up to 70 years old, and we had plenty of room to sleep and spread out. The host was so helpful and friendly with all of my questions. We absolutely loved this home!

Very fun, very country!

This house worked great for our group of 3 families. Lots of space, good sized kitchen, beautiful nature. The location isn’t close to much, and the last mile or so of road is a slow gravel road—so if you’re doing lots of going places, it takes awhile. The neighborhood donkey was a huge highlight, and the hot tub and fire pit are great! The bathroom layout is a little awkward for a big group—there are 2 full bathrooms in the master bedroom and just 2 small hall baths for the other 5 bedrooms and anyone in the common areas to share. When we arrived, there was a power issue with part of the house, but the owners were very responsive and got an electrician out immediately who fixed it. Overall, I’d recommend it!

Memorable mountain holiday

Perfect location and space for our big family Christmas gathering! We enjoyed snow tubing, the hot tub, hikes and a bonfire and plenty of lounging and eating and sleeping space for our family of 22. It was a memorable holiday for us all.

My family had a great time. The teens loved the air hockey game and all the kids loved petting the burrow. There was plenty of space for the adults to spread out and visit. They all said it was a great place to get together.

The owner was really nice and quick to respond if you had any questions. The place was great for family or large group..the grandkids enjoyed jack the donkey . We had a great time staying there. Will be back
