You will love relaxing under the Gazebo, listening to the clean, babbling mountain stream and the kids will love playing in the creek. Waynesville and Richland Creek is a designated North Carolina “Mountain Heritage Trout Water”, a stocked trout stream. You can enjoy trout fishing in the backyard with a 3-day, $8 N.C. license. The house was built in 1964 and is considered Mid-Century Modern Architecture with an open floor plan and lots of windows. Recently remodeled, upgrades include new and refinished floors, paint, upgraded bathroom and windows. We chose the two largest bedrooms for guest to access. The deck and gazebo are the highlight of the house and we have a fenced-in area to keep small children and dogs safe. We hope you will enjoy this mid-century modern home as a getaway from your busy lives.

Enjoyed our stay!
Susan was a super host. She reached out to us prior to arrival and was quick to respond when we had a hiccup when we got to the house and satisfactorily resolved the issue. The gazebo along with the deck and back yard were definite plusses and our 2 little dogs enjoyed the fenced-in back yard (and not having to be on a leach to go potty). Although the weather was not conducive to spending much time outdoors, we did love being right on the creek. The house was very comfortable with good in-house entertainment options.and good wifi service. The location is very convenient and we made several area excursions (Biltmore House, Maggie Valley/Cataloochee, Lake Junaluska) that were not far and easy to get to, as well as enjoying the great downtown area of Waynesville just minutes away, We plan on returning sometime when the weather is warmer so we can spend more time enjoying the creek and doing some grilling on the deck,

We had a great stay. Beds were comfortable, very clean and orderly. Host even checked in with us and asked about out trip. We were given a welcome gift. Great restaurants and shops. I was hoping to take my grandson fishing, but apparently Wal-Mart no longer sells a 3-day license. We traveled the Blue Ridge Parkway between Maggie Valley and Cherokee. It did not disappoint, the trees were beautiful, even in the rain. We did the train trip in Bryson city. A wonderful trip as usual.

Water Sounds
Susan and Rolf were great hosts. Their house is very well kept and convenient to downtown and many stores and restaurants. The best part for me was the stream at the back of the house. I spent many hours sitting in the gazebo reading and listening to the stream. I also opened the master bedroom window at night to listen to the water. I am a distance runner, and my wife is an avid walker. There is a quarter mile track a half mile from the house that we used every day. The neighboring street has many friendly people who we visited with daily. Our dog loved the fenced backyard and ran to her heart's delight. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
