COVID-19 may have changed the way we travel, but it hasn't dampened our lust for exploring. Here are a few tips on how to handle the new challenges of travelling:

• Before booking your flight, check if any travel bans or restrictions apply — in both your destination and origin. Get up-to-date information by checking government websites.
• Requirements state you must wear a face mask at the airport, including at screening checkpoints. Be prepared to lower your mask for identification purposes when asked by a TSA employee.
• Rather than handing a TSA employee your boarding pass, place it straight on the reader yourself. After that, hold it up for inspection.
• TSA now allows passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on bags. This will need to be removed from your bag for scanning.
• To minimize handling during the screening process, place personal items such as your phone, coins and keys into your carry-on instead of into the bins.
• Transport all food items in a clear plastic bag and also place them in a screening bin. Keeping your food separate from your carry-on means it's less likely a TSA agent will need to touch and open your bag for inspection.
