"I love this hotel. It has more character than any other place I have stayed on my travels. It seems like time travel to a bygone era before giant hotel corporations. In addition, the staff is excellent and treated us in a flexible and personal way. My son went to Eastman School of music and I stayed here 5 times over his four years in Rochester. My only regret about his graduation is that i won’t be staying here again. Also, as a perk, check out the jazz club in the basement. We saw my son and other local musicians gig there and it is worth the visit. "

"Parking instruction isn’t clear. Attitude of front desk at night shift is utterly, totally, completely, terribly, unacceptably horrible. We should be treated with courtesy, not bad attitude. "

"We were there for multiple nites. After the first one we had to ask the front desk to have our room serviced as had not been. The staf dealing with guests are excellent, very friendly and goi g out of their way to accommodate us. The breakfast cook was excellent "

"If you are not fussy, this is a great place to stay. Nice row of houses, convenient to the highway, restaurants and cafes. Feels like home, comfortable and spacious."

"Very unique and cool looking place. I took a lot of photos in the halls of the decor. It’s cool. Room itself was very nice. Just note - the bathroom is not enclosed- no walls around toilet area or bathing area. I was alone so no big deal - but some might like to know the scenario. Very cool place."
