"We loved our stay. It was our first trip to Eugene to check out the college for our senior. With so many choices around the area, we were glad to have stayed at Valley River Inn. Check in and out were a breeze. The facilities were clean and well appointed and maintained. Safety was never compromised even as the hotel is close to shopping centers, walking/biking paths, freeways etc. The restaurant on site was amazing. Hostesses were accommodating, server was delightful and knowledgeable about the cuisine (husband is a chef and appreciates this), and the dining area was thoughtfully designed. The only minor issue is that our flight was very early and so we were not able to receive an itemized receipt at check out. If you need proof of expenditure for work or other write offs, this should be planned for ahead of time. No big deal and we will definitely return! "
