"This was a nice place to stay for a night in York. It is about a 10 minute walk to the train station, and a quick walk across the river to the heart of town. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants within a short walk. The room was good sized and clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very nice. Very good full English breakfast buffet. The only issue was that it didn't have AC and the room got very hot. We could open a window which worked nicely, but on the other side of the river is a night club that was very loud, so we couldn't keep the window open because of the noise. All we had to cool us off was a fan which worked ok, but not great. It was a Friday night, so that was probably worse than other nights with the noise. It was still a nice place."

"The hotel is located in the center of the city, close to University buses and 5-7 min walk to Shambles. The property looks like new and our large room with huge shower on the 3rd floor was clean. Stuff was friendly and very helpful. We have not eaten in the restaurant, since there are a lot of options close to the hotel. Nice touch was the machine that would allow us to reserve the Uber or reserve the activities around the city."

"Perfect location and a whole ‘apartment’ to yourself. Paid for the river view which was nice but you can’t sit on a balcony to enjoy it to the max. Great location for exploring York."

"Really loved the hotel. Bedroom is nice and simple. There are a few cracks about and licks of paint needed but otherwise the hotel stands nicely and is a comfortable place to stay. I will say the rooms on the upper floors are warm from the rising heat but the hotel provided a fan which was great. All in all a comfortable stay!"

"Really lovely stay. Own car park (need to pay, but welcomed as next to hotel!) Good for couples, friends or families. Lovely walk into York centre by the river. We booked for short walk to Barbican & it was perfect for this. Great large bedroom, spotless Great bar, excellent breakfast with everything you could want. Friendly, professional & efficient staff. No issues whatsoever"
