"Such a lovely property, in a beautiful building, beautiful area, and beautifully decorated. The rooms were spotless and tidy and the beds, comfortable. We can't recommend this property enough. The only slight sadness is that the bathrooms are so small (can't be helped) and the main room doesn't serve breakfast. While it is offered in bedrooms, the common room on the ground floor is beautiful and larger, with the perfect table to invite people to greet one another and build community. "

"Myself and my partner stayed for 2 nights, on the first night with were arriving at 8.10pm just after the kitchen normally closes. We rang up and nothing was too much trouble, we preordered over the phone and they held off on preparing our meal until we arrived. Food was amazing and we had a lovely few drinks in the pub which has such a warm atmosphere. Our room was lovely, we particularly enjoyed the log burner, and was a great size. A great stay, we would definitely come again! "

"A great stay and somewhere we'd visit again. More character than a premier inn. Clean, tidy and comfortable. All the staff we encountered were really helpful and friendly. "First room smelt of smoke but we were moved quickly when we asked for another room. Both rooms we saw had disabled adapted bathrooms. Not sure why we were given those facilities! Breakfast plentiful. Orange juice very cheap and needs replacing but all other breakfast offerings enjoyable. All staff we met were friendly and helpful. Parking in multi storey opposite easy though £10 pn extra. We slept well with no disturbance despite the hotel hosting 3 stag groups. "
