Percy’s Cottage, lovingly renovated in 2024, combines traditional charm with modern comfort. Built from the region’s iconic honey-coloured sandstone, this delightful cottage retains many original features, including beamed ceilings and wooden panelled walls. Once the childhood home of the current owner, it’s filled with nostalgic treasures like a traditional butter churner and a vintage charcoal-heated iron, adding character to the cosy interiors. The lounge is centred around a wood-burning stove, creating a warm and inviting space to relax. It flows into the dining area, perfect for sharing meals by the fire’s glow. The well-equipped kitchen features modern appliances and a breakfast bar for leisurely mornings. A family bathroom with a shower over the bath is also located on the ground floor.

Absolutely cosy

We had a fantastic 10-day stay in this wonderful cottage. Sara and Jason welcomed us with a great welcome package and a heated cottage. The house is well furnitured, and many details make the stay very comfortable. Hope to come back soon.
