The kitchen, while retaining its quirky charm, is fully equipped with all the essentials for cooking, including an oven, hob, and a dishwasher for added convenience! At the left end of the kitchen, you'll find a utility cupboard housing a washer/dryer, and through the door directly ahead is a convenient downstairs bathroom with a toilet, basin, and a large walk-in shower – perfect for washing off the sand after a day at Whitstable's beach. The patio garden is furnished with a table and chairs for al-fresco dining and additional sofas for relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine from the wine fridge!
Upstairs, the two spacious double bedrooms both feature built-in wardrobes and decorative fireplaces, maintaining the character of an old fisherman's cottage typical of Whitstable. Our stay started off to a rough start because we got a flat tyre in root. We thought we were going to have to cancel, but our mechanic came through and so did our host. We ended up arriving on the Saturday in stead of the Friday, but our host was fantastic and gave us the house for the full day on Sunday... I believe check out was around 10 or 11. This extra time made a huge difference. She didn't have to do that - but she did and we are grateful because it made for a more relaxed morning on Sunday. The house was fantastic - everything was done to a high standard and you can tell that love was poured into this house. We hope to come again in the not too distant future and use the house as a base to explore the area. We loved our stay and the location was amazing...
