Beautiful place, fantastic grounds and lovely staff. Dinner was excellent too. Only thing was, and I hate complaining, but my goodness the pillows were hard and extremely uncomfortable. I’m a lousy sleeper anyway but perhaps it’s time to upgrade them a little…I caught up with a girlfriend of 37 years and had a good old natter. The place was so peaceful and we were left to talk talk talk!

The hotel is ideally located for exploring Liverpool City. Breakfast was very good and substantial. Our room was basic but clean and had a nice view over the Albert Dock. Top score for us was the genuine friendliness of the hotel staff. To a person, they could not have been nicer.
