"More a self catering flat than an hotel however We were happy with it. It is in the suburbs of St Helens a distance from the town centre. St Helens Junction train station is about 5 mins walk, and a good little cafe for breakfast less than 2 mins walk. The area was quiet at night and there are a couple of local shops equally close for such things as milk for drinks.We used it as a base to explore the area hence we only used the kettle and the wifi. Would be happy to use again."

"There were several takeaways nearby, and a cafe but otherwise not much shopping. A small co-op about 15 minutes walk away and a mini sainsburys 20 minutes walk. On the other hand the bus stop was right outside and the tram stop only 5 minutes walk so easy to get to the city centre. But the key problem was communication with the owners. "The building is really nice and located very central so you’re just a walk away from bars, restaurants, and shops. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. The room itself was great! We opted for the no window double room but ended up having a window anyway and the room was a really good size. Powerful shower and really clean bathroom. Only downside was that the bed wasn’t the comfiest and there wasn’t a light, only lamps but that didn’t really bother us. Bar downstairs is great with pool tables and lots of screens for sports matches and prices were good. No complaints, definitely worth it for the price!"
