Please note: There is an unfenced stream in the grounds.. Starling Cottage is a an open-plan cabin located within the 23 acres of grounds of Wallace Lane Farm. It is located on the fringe of the Lake District National Park, and just a short drive to the historical and pretty Cumberland villages of Caldbeck, Hesket Newmarket and Uldale. The accommodation is featured around the delightful wood burner and is an ideal place to stay for couples and young families that enjoy the outdoors.

There are romantic walks from the doorstep, family fun exploring the nearby beaches, and around a 30-minute drive is the historic city of Carlisle, with its splendid 900-year-old castle and museums. You can also visit the popular market town of Keswick, with its abundance of outdoor specialist shops, cafés and tearooms.

Back at the cabin, unwind in your own private hot tub with views towards Scotland and the Solway Plains, or dine al fresco on the decked patio with delicious food cooked on your own charcoal barbecue. Starling Lodge in the Caldbeck Fells is perfect for a weekend break in Cumbria. Beach 18 miles, Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

Stayed at starling lodge- Staff was really helpful and kind upon arrival. Brilliant two days get away nice and relaxing. Cleanliness of the lodge was great Plenty of great walks to do if taking the dog with your stay
