Thank you for all your compliments. We are a Victorian built guesthouse with standard stairs to our 2 floors and steps on the outside as well. This is all outlined in our Accessibility Statement on our website. However, we do have step free access at the back which guests who prefer to do so are welcome to use. The Rydal room is a cosy double room and was the last room available when you booked therefore unfortunately we could not upgrade you. Next time when you stay make sure you book early and check out the Windermere room or Coniston. Nevertheless, spending most of your time outdoors in the Lakes, we know you still enjoyed your time here with the nice weather. Best wishes to you both.
