A cosy, base for two in Windermere, perfect for laid-back Lake District getaways.
Tucked between Elterwater and Beaumont cottages in the heart of Windermere, Wastwater is a compact and charming one-bedroom escape for couples or solo travellers. It’s a practical, well-placed base with a relaxed feel, ideal for exploring the Lakes without the need for a car or a complicated itinerary. One well-trained dog is welcome at this property for an additional charge. Dogs visiting the property should be kept off all furniture and never left unattended. We also kindly ask that you make sure that you pick up after you dog also, thank you.
The space Inside:
Split over two levels, the layout is a little quirky, in a good way. Downstairs you’ll find the double-sized bedroom with wardrobe space and an ensuite shower room (WC and basin included), creating a private, restful spot to unwind at the end of the day.
Upstairs is a light-filled open-plan space with views over the rooftops of Windermere. There’s a comfy sofa, smart TV, and a compact but well-equipped kitchen for relaxed dinners in. Whether you’re here for a walking weekend or just a change of scene, everything is close at hand and easy to settle into.
Outside:
Step out and you’re just moments from Windermere village with its cafés, shops and bakeries, or head downhill to Bowness for lakeside strolls, boat trips and dinner by the water. The location is brilliantly central, meaning you can explore the best of both towns entirely on foot.
