"We stayed at the Kayon resort when we first arrived in Bali. The staff was amazing and very attentive. Our room was lovely and the view on the jungle was great. Breakfast is also amazing, one of the best breakfast we had in a hotel before. They have a shuttle avalaible to the centre of Ubud which is helpful. Overall would love to come back again."

"It is our second time staying at The Purist. My kids and I came last year and had to return on our trip this year. It is the only property we decided to repeat because 1. We loved the spacious size of the rooms (last year we had Bamboo Villa and this year we had a Jungle Villa). 2. We love the breakfast but most of all 3. The staff is so kind and welcoming. "We stayed in the Garden Villa, one of the more luxurious villas. Private pool (heated upon arrival!). A lot of luxury and space, all very nice.
We tried both restaurants, the fine dining one with a set menu (vegetarian option available) had amazing food. Expensive… but worth it.
We never got to rhe communal pool as our own was so good.
Complimentary shuttle to/from Ubud. Otherwise for other transport, get the Grab app, works very well and cheap - 25 Euro for a 2 hour drive). You need cash for this.
Tried Ubud Palace and the dance show, very nice but to see anything you need to come 1 - 1.5 hour before show and get a front seat.

"We got got the garden view villa. It is nice but not as big and spacious as the pool view. We had trouble accessing the Wi-Fi in our room even though it worked fine anyplace around the hotel , also because we got the garden view we were not entitled to any benefits such as getting 15% discount on ordering food and beverage at the pool and also we got to pay extra to get room service in our room even though our friends in the pool view villas didn’t have to. They charged us when we used the mini bar in our room , so apparently the garden view rooms don’t have the same treatment and amenities as the pool view ones "
