"Portumna is a lovely little town, and the property is easy walking distance to it as well as attractions, groceries and a lovely forest. Problem is the property itself was a disaster. Upon arrival, the upstairs toilets didn’t work, there is no porch light working and there was internet trouble. There was no hair dryer as listed, one pot with 2 lids that didn’t fit, one skillet, spatula, nothing else, not even a bottle or can opener. 1.2 weeks later, still no toilet fixed. "Absolutely gem! Reminded me of the classic B&B’s-with the best of Irish warmth and charm!! Maura (host) was fabulous, she took excellent care of our family! Room very clean and well kept, and the bed was quite comfortable! Breakfast was so delicious! Eggs were cooked perfectly to order, assortment of breads, cereals, fruit and juice were delicious-and some were homemade! And even found a leprechaun at breakfast! Would absolutely recommend to anyone I know traveling to Ireland! "

"The house is in a lovely quiet neighborhood. A fantastic view of Galway! A very beautiful home decorated with antiques and contemporary. The kitchen was really well equipped for cooking and dining. Lots of space in the house plenty of bedrooms with comfortable mattresses and bedding. Our host Jane was so sweet, and was more than accommodating! She provided several recommendations for shopping and dining and helped get the house stocked for arrival. We had all enjoyed our stay!"
