Don’t bother
The place stinks of cat pee. The corridor/stairs carpets are very old and dirty. The bed felt like a huge person slept in the middle and made it wonky. I’m asthmatic and had a crises whilst there, so definitely damp around the place. The single glazed windows were poorly maintained and meant very little sleep during a storm because of the noise and draught. Broken biscuits left as a ‘treat’ on the top of the tea cup. It’s not worth the price they’re asking for.

The room was clean and the owner was friendly. The room was freezing cold on arrival and only warmed up a little. It then cooled down and was freezing overnight and the heating did not come on again until around 9 a.m. The restaurant for breakfast was also freezing cold. The hotel looks like it is being refurbished so hopefully they will sort this out. Until then only visit in the summer!

It is a very old building, obviously, so it has some limitations but it has so much character to make up for it. Staff were so welcoming and attentive and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Would definitely visit again if going down to that part of England.

Inexpensive accommodations above a pub with beer garden and restaurant. Room was clean and bed comfortable. The room we had was described as “cosy” so I knew it would be small yet I saw some other rooms being cleaned and they looked very spacious but probably cost more. Our bathroom was tiny as well, but this is all we needed for a 1 night stay. The Village of Findon is small with friendly locals. There is another pub, more intimate, in the village called The Gun Inn, there is a wonderful little market that has prepared foods, baked goods, magazines, beer and wine, etc. For breakfast, we went to Dee Dee’s. Very friendly staff, good coffee (they have an espresso machine) and they serve breakfast and lunch. They also have outdoor seating in the front and back. There aren’t any sidewalks really but most of the roads were not busy (except the main road into the village) so going for a walk and seeing homes, walking up the hills for the views of the farms, was safe and pleasant. It’s a pretty quiet village and a nice way to spend some time experiencing a typical English village day.

I feel that I need to qualify the rating that I gave for cleanliness. The property is very old and is in urgent need of updating/renovations. The bed linen was spotless and the bathroom itself but the window frames, wood work and carpet are in urgent need of replacement. One window could not be close due to rust and warping, which is fine in the summer, but not in the colder weather. It is also impossible to ventilate the bathroom as the window was behind secondary glazing, which also had a layer of dirt.There were also beautiful and plentiful towels and a very generous basket of tea/ coffee etc. The Inn is an historic building with a quirky layout which could be amazing, but the rusty window frames in the rooms and the dingy paint work in communal areas need to be addressed as soon as possible. Breakfast was not included in the price, which was not really acceptable at £90 an night. The staff were friendly and efficient and the pub was good, but I couldn’t return until these problems have been sorted out.

Such a lovely village pub B&B. Staff couldn’t be more helpful especially with sorting taxi for us to GFOS. Our room was very comfortable & clean and the shower was great-do love a shower that is hot & powerful. Plenty towels as well. We had dinner & breakfast there and both were delicious. The chef is very good. Would highly recommend it and we would definitely stay again

The Old Village House Coaching Inn
I really liked the old coaching Inn, especially the quirky character of an old building. A popular local pub with traditional well appointed rooms. Staff friendly & helpful. Home made oven fired Pizzas were excellent.

Family visit
We stayed for 4 nights, while vistong family in worthing. The hotel was excellent, from check in to check out. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms We're clean and well stocked up with toiletries. Breakfast was excellent and cheryl was very atttentive and answered all our questions, regarding bus and train times.we will stay again when we visit family again.

The Guest House in Findon, UK was excellent. Room was neat and spotless. No AC, but windows that opened and a fan was in the room. The bed and bedding were very comfortable and clean. The room was so cozy and comfortable. Food was excellent and good pricing. Full English breakfast was available every morning. Best of all, staff were lovely, friendly and so helpful. Loved our stay. 🤗❤️🇨🇦

The room was very small for a double (very cosy) so small two people were unable to pass each other, only one very small window for fresh air. Bed very , very uncomfortable, pillows extra hard, left with still neck, bathroom very tiny where toilet situated, anyone even bigger slightly bigger would be unable to use it. Breakfast exceptable, asked for no snotty eggs , but got them anyway. We’re in room 3 definitely not worth the £75 we paid plus£20 for breakfast, will not be returning under any circumstances

Great place but book a en-suite room for privacy
This is a lovely Hotel and very nice staff in a great location. To be fair we booked the wrong room, we booked a room we had to share the toilet/bathroom and although no one was staying next to us to share it with people from the pub kept coming upstairs to use the toilet so it didn’t feel private. We will go again but next time booking a room with en-suite is a must
