So beautiful
This place is phenomenal. My two biggest "complaints" are that there is very little in walking distance (about 30 minute difficult walk to town), and NONE of the TV channels are in English. Not a single one. The only English channel they had was "unavailable." But, if you're only there for 1 night, it's not an issue. The room is SO comfortable and the place is so great. Don't even get me started on how gorgeous the view is.

This is a beautiful, historic property. We booked a room that turned out to not feature air conditioning, which the hotel explains on its website but I didn’t notice a warning when booking though Expedia. Luckily the night was cool enough to get along nicely with opened windows. The restaurant was disappointing. We wanted more of a snack after having a late lunch on the road and the only offering was an an expensive, multi-course menu whose description seemed overly contrived and ambitious given the restaurant’s modest online reviews. We were seated next to a wedding party and then ignored, which fueled our best decision to get back in the car to eat elsewhere in town. It seems odd that the hotel doesn’t have a separate bar according to the front desk, although a downstairs location looked like there was once one. I would probably stay again for the view and the chance to explore the property further, making sure to figure out the air conditioning options and planning to dine offsite.

Dear guest,Tanks for your feedback! On our homepage as well as on the booking platforms we point out that we do not have air conditioning in our areas "Landschloss" and "Traumschloss". For your next stay we recommend a room in our air-conditioned "Refugium". It is a pity that we could not meet your expectaions for dinner. In our restaurant we offer the popular "Your Choice" menu, where guests can put together their own 3-, 4- or 5-course menu with different components. We made the switch to menus three years ago for economic and staffing reasons. We ask for your understanding. We still offer our hotel guests the possibility to choose from a smaller menü (available from 20:30). We apologize if you felt ignored in our restaurant. Of course, this should not be the case. We will follow up on this internally.Regarding the bar, our castle bar is located two floors below our main restaurant, which presents us with logistical challenges in handling. Therefore, we only offer it in connection with an event and for closed partys. This place is tired and strange. The only thing going for it is the food service and the view. The dining room smelled like my grandmother’s house in the 1970’s…just saying. Cozy rooms and tiny bathroom, but hotel layout is dreadful. Reviews are way too forgiving. Very little English spoken by the employees. Old world Germany. Beware.

It was an unique stay for us, very nice and clean rooms. The atmosphere was incredible, we had the feeling we’re the owner’s of an old castle. The restaurant and buffet amazing..We’ll come again..

We stayed in the old part which seemed like a castle. Our room was very clean. Cozy, and very attractive. High quality linens. We had beautiful views on two sides. The hotel restaurant is excellent and the staff very friendly and welcoming.

Very nice hotel. The rooms in the new wing we stayed in were excellent with wonderful views. The breakfasts were also very nice. One issue was the unwillingness of the staff to offer us a seat with a nice view for 30 minutes prior to us leaving to our dinner even though there were many available seats. They were reserved but we were never given the option of using them for 30 minutes or until other guests arrived. Just told no. Many were open when we left after being seated in a table without a view.

Great romantic place to stay, small corrections.
The hotel was great overall, very clean and great service. Views were spectacular and highly impressive to make every night special. There were too many wasps/bees outside at the dinner/breakfast area, which the hotel would benefit from correcting, if possible. The wait and all staff were very pleasant and caring. The terrace had an area that should have a safety bar for safety installed without sacrificing the view. Saw kids sitting on the terrace ledge, a safety concern. My room was not air conditioned, probably the typical German situation. The hotel could invest in discreet fans for air circulation during hot days. Toiletries were insufficient, shouldn’t have to call for replenishments. The menu should be expanded, maybe add a salmon or a fish dish or provide a changing menu, maybe daily chef specials to mix it up. The hotel should add a vending machine for drinks variety in the ground floor, maybe a menu in the rooms. There is no elevator. Parking area was great. The shrimp salad is wonderful, recommended. Great wine and top notch cake selections. They brought us extra shrimp for a reasonable price. The stay is a great romantic get away to impress a loved one.

HOTEL ok, zu teuer für was es ist
Service im Restaurant top. An Rezeption eher naja. Zimmer im Schloss veraltet. Fenster undicht und Marienkäfer im Raum. Sehr hellhörige Zimmer. Duschkabine ist nicht komplett dicht. Bett bequem. Sehr kleines Zimmer im Standard- Paket. Frühstück ok und ausreichend. Aussicht super und Lage top. Nicht genutzt: Pool und Sauna. Alles in allem zu teuer für was es ist.

Der alte Teil des Hotels ist dringend renovierungsbedürftig (alte, nicht abgebaute Rezeption etc…) hatte zum Glück ein Zimmer im neuen Hotelteil, der ansprechend war.

L'hôtel est situé tout en haut d'une colline, assez loin du centre de Wurtzbourg. La chambre est très belle mais il faisait une chaleur étouffante et le ventilateur mis à disposition n'aide pas beaucoup. Il n'y a pas de moustiquaire aux fenêtres. Si vous ne parlez pas allemand, il est difficile de vous faire comprendre même en anglais.

Slottet befinners sig på en mycket fin plats med en fantastisk utsikt över hela Wurzburg. Att ta sig dit är dock svårt. En mycket smal väg fick mig att kallsvettas. Tur tt jag inte kom med min SUV. När jag kom fram fick jag veta att det inte fanns något att äta pga personalbrist. Jag fick trots att jag ör silvermedlem, ett trångt rum högst upp. Många trappor att gå i och ingen hiss. Heltäckningsmattor överallt. En branddörr var målad i samma färg som dörrarna och det tog mig ett tag att hitta ut. Mycket farligt om det skulle börja brinna. Ingen luftkonditionering i det mycket kitschigt inredda rummet. Morgonen därpå fick jag dock mycket bra service vid frukosten av en utomordentligt serviceminded rödlätt ung kvinna.

Wir ware jetzt bereits das dritte mal hier. Und wir kommen sicherlich auch noch ein viertes mal. Wunderbare Aussicht, sehr bequeme Betten. Alles ist sauber, das Personenal sehr nett. Frühstück ist übersichtlich aber ausreichend. Alles was man benötigt. Diesmal haben wir nicht im Hotel zu Abend gegessen. Aber auch das Abendessen war sonst immer super. Einfach ein tolles Hotel

Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Das Personal hat sich wunderbar um uns gekümmert. Frühstücksbuffet hat alles, was man sich wünscht. Vom Hotel runter in die Stadt nach Würzburg für alle die gut zu Fuß sind und auch Treppen steigen in einer halben Stunde erreichbar. Wir kommen wieder.
