Boutique luxury countryside cottage with hot tub, log burner, 4 poster & firepit
Snowdrop Cottage can be found in the heart of the picturesque village of Welburn which is surrounded by the Howardian Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within a few minutes of the iconic Castle Howard yet only a 15-minute drive from the historic city of York. This luxury, boutique style cottage with private hot tub is just the perfect getaway for anyone looking to spoil themselves whilst enjoying this beautiful part of North Yorkshire. The cosy cottage living room is decorated in deep shades with colourful furnishings and the wood panelling provides the perfect ambiance for an evening in front of the wood burner enjoying a choice of Sky or Netflix movies. French doors lead through to a sunny kitchen/dining room with access out to the enclosed gardens. A country style dining table sits to one side; here you can gather for a hearty Yorkshire breakfast before heading out to explore the Howardian Hills or come together on an evening for a delicious home cooked evening meal. The shaker style kitchen offers a host of modern appliances, off the central hallway can be found the family shower room which once again does not fail to impress with its bright colours, patterned tiles and gold accessories. Retire on an evening via the cottage stairs to the first floor and find two beautifully designed bedrooms both offering stunning interior design, beautiful soft furnishings and luxury hotel linens. Choose from a pretty double room with Velux window or a kingsize with four poster bed, statement chandelier light and views of the countryside. Snowdrop Cottage features an enclosed garden with a raised terrace with additional seating for al fresco dining and a private hot tub. Decorated with fairy lights this garden comes alive at night should you wish to enjoy the evening stargazing around the firepit or surrounded by bubbles. You are truly spoilt at Snowdrop Cottage, having so much on your doorstep. The local public house is just across the road and is much loved by the locals for the great food it serves and the friendly welcome. Opposite this there is also the local café/deli where you can enjoy a wonderful breakfast menu, afternoon tea, coffees and cakes or pick up some delicious holiday essentials including pre-made meals to cook at home. The iconic Castle Howard, famous for Brideshead Revisited and more recently Bridgerton is just a short drive away, offering a packed events programme throughout the year and one of the UK’s best Christmas experiences a visit here should feature on your holiday itinerary. The Yorkshire Arboretum is opposite and provides a stunning backdrop for walking. If you are looking to enjoy great food then visit Malton, the ’foodie’ capital of Yorkshire. Packed with independent cafés, delis and restaurants and offering frequent food festivals. At neighbouring market town Pickering you can climb aboard their steam train or visit local attractions such as Eden Camp historic war museum or perhaps a day out at Flamingo Land theme park and Zoo. Dalby Forest offers amazing walks and mountain biking or if you really want to climb in the treetops why not tackle Go Ape’s adventure challenge. The Howardian Hills offer miles of walking and cycling opportunities or hop on the train in Malton and enjoy the seaside town of Scarborough or travel inland and explore the medieval walled city of York. The North York Moors National Park and the Yorkshire Wolds are also on the doorstep waiting to be explored. Make Snowdrop Cottage in Welburn the base for your hot tub getaway!

Great little cottage with a hot tub, had everything we needed and the host was always very quick to respond to queries. Fab location for walking from the doorstep, a pub and bistro just slightly up the road, castle howard and York. Would definitely stay again!
Great spot, good pub across the road and lovely walks.
Liked all the little touches in the house and hot tub was amazing on cold winter evening.
Will defiantly be back next year for a longer stay.
Stunning cottage in a lovely village setting and just a stones throw from the local pub and deli (lovely breakfast)The property was well equipped and tastefully decorated throughout with 10/10 for cleanliness, the host had thought of everything We didn't get to use the hot tub (maybe next time)
We were impresed by the listing but were unsure if this place would meet expectations... it met them and more Cosy, clean, trendy and welcoming- we enjoyed every minute of our stay atkSnowdrop cottage-
Very relaxing stay here with my mum. Very well equipped and comfortable. A great friendly pub serving lovely food opposite and a cafe / shop next door. Unfortunately, I didn’t get time to use the jaccuzi. Would certainly recommend
Lovely property and very well equipped. Tea coffee milk and sugar provided along with some lovely cakes/flapjacks/brownies which were very welcome after a long drive.
Pub over the road was happy to serve our evening meal despite us arriving after 8pm.
The stairs in the property are steep and the bathroom is downstairs so it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues or anyone who is clumsy.
The hot tub was a welcome end to each day after dinner. The setting is perfect and a great accompaniment to a nice cool bottle of fizz! Would return in a heartbeat.
From the online booking to leaving everything was perfect.A fabulous little cottage with great attention to detail. The pub opposite was perfect too great for after a full day out.Visited the little cafe/delicatessen for some treats too.Just perfect
Stunning cottage, very tastefully decorated and very well equipped. The host has thought of everything. We stayed for 4 nights whilst our daughter was getting married at the nearby White Sykes Fields and we were not disappointed this little gem of a cottage was the perfect place for a relax before and after the wedding. Thank you Adam!
