Great location, very close to city centre. Easy to walk everywhere we wanted to visit. Breakfast was great, with a good selection of hot and cold options. Our room was lovely and spotlessly clean.

This was a bit out of the way but once we found our way walking not bad found a few hairs on the wall in shower so not clean

Breakfast was a cut above the usual "city hotel" fare. Same buffet set up but the food was replenished quickly so no chewy sausages or rubbery scrambled eggs.

The furniture in the was very sparse ie only one chair. Thee room we had was a disabled room and the bed was very low indeed.

Lovely hotel nicely positioned for city centre and York Barbican, even a Whetherspoons close by if you can get in,it was packed ehen we first tried. Only minor criticism is some weird noises during the night, think it was pipes but not sure, would stay there again.

The property has no facilities for a 200 quid a day hotel. The breakfast was pathetic . Did not have any fresh fruits . Scrambled eggs and sausages were super salty. There are no good food options in the hotel as well apart from the tap beer which is ok. The room has no almirah , just a small space to hang clothes no place to keep clothes . Disappointed as there were many better hotels at same price

Good location for city centre. Building site next door. Great view over Clifford’s tower. Modern , clean bathroom. Breakfast was very good- busy at times but staff were helpful in rectifying any problems. We would stay here again.

Overall very good; room was nice and clean. Location was convenient for my office. Easy to adjust the heating in the room. The in-room amenities were also very good. And Wow! What a huge tv!!! 😂 The disappointment was breakfast. It wasn’t clear where the coffee was, so went back to have the coffee that was in my room. Also with food sitting around for a long time some of it was overcooked and tough. I understand, mass/volume is a challenge but I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels for work; my direct comparison of the scrambled eggs, Hamptons were the best I’ve had so far but the other bits of cooked breakfast were disappointing. Also the layout was a bit of a challenge in terms of not immediately being able to see what I was looking for but I don’t have any suggestions in how it could be improved given the space that you have, just that it takes time to orient and find what you’re looking for. Other than that, I had a good stay and would stay there again

Great location, very friendly team and quick check-in. Breakfast selection for anyone not just looking for “full English” was good and waffle maker just excellent! Any “fry up fans” might be a bit disappointed about the quality in general.

Brilliant staff
It was brilliant! Hotel smart and very clean with excellent facilities. But the bit that really stood out were the staff - all very friendly and helpful, and in a very genuine way. Fantastic, lovely place to stay.

Handy location
Hotel was really nice and in a good location, it was just a short walk from the Shambles and York Minster etc. We parked in the Q Park shambles car park as thought we would get discount from the hotel but when we checked in we discovered you had to pre book the parking to get the discount so it cost us £48 for 2 nights. We loved York and would return to this hotel.
