Weekend away in North Yorkshire
This is the second time we have had a fabulous weekend staying at Plumpton Court. A superb B&B based in the village of Nawton, located between Helmsley and Pickering. In the village there is a good pub called The Rose and Crown offering a good selection of food and drinks, including Sunday lunches. No food served on Monday and Tuesday. There is also a very good Indian restaurant in the village called Fusion Spice, we opted for our evening meal on Monday evening. At Plumton Court the bedrooms are well presented with comfortable beds, and tea/coffee making facilities. Chris the host is very attentive, and our breakfast on both mornings was delicious. Car Parking is provided at the rear of the property.

Lovely Bank holiday break at Plumpton Court
We enjoyed a fabulous two night break over the May Day weekend. Plumpton Court is a beautiful property, with lovely hosts. The attention to detail was very good, along with the breakfast we had both mornings. Our room was lovely with a comfortable large bed, and ensuite with walk in shower cubicle. All the bedrooms were given a name. Our room was called Windy Gill. Car Parking at the rear of the property, set in a lovely garden. Plumpton Court is ideally located for Helmsley, Pickering or further afield Scarborough, Malton, and several local beautiful villages. There is a pub in the village of Nawton, The Rose and Crown, serves decent food and carvery on a Sunday. There is also an Indian restaurant, we did not go in for a meal, but seems to have a decent reputation. There is also a fish and chip shop in the village. I would definitely recommend Plumpton Court. We will be returning for sure!

Enjoyable 3 nights at plump court
Chris and Jenny were such friendly and inviting hosts.It was an absolute pleasure to stay at the plumpton court guest house. We stayed for three nights and each morning the breakfast was amazing. Also the young lady serving breakfast in the morning was very polite.

The property is in a great area, there is plenty of parking, the rooms are spotless, the breakfast is wonderful. Chris is great company and very knowledgeable about the area. Would definitely stay here again.

What a lovely hotel with the friendliest host couple who cannot do enough for you. Nothing is too much trouble. Very attentive throughout breakfast will definitely stay here again if we are ever in this part of Yorkshire again

Wonderful B&B in a great location
In between Helmsley and Pickering Plumpton Court was perfect for our short break in the North York Moors. We were checked in by Jenny and could tell straight away that they;d taken all necessary precautions. Breakfast was wonderful!

Great little B&B
Had a really nice stay at this lovely B&B. The room was basic, but comfortable. A short drive from Helmsley and the rest of the Moors. What really stands out about this place was the service. The owners could not do enough for us and were always very polite, cheerful and friendly. Breakfasts are amazing

Beautifully kept hotel with friendly hosts
Located in a picturesque part of Yorkshire, Chris and Jenny are very welcoming and the compact rooms are beautifully kept. Chris even took us to see two local attractions-what more could one want? Breakfast was fab (I am not a breakfast person but still managed to eat a bit!) and Jenny had made sure that a taxi as booked at the right time for us to see Castle Howard.

Fantastic in every way
If I need to stay in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to return here. The property was spotlessly clean and tidy, and Chris and Jenny were the perfect hosts. If I could give them extra points for providing hot chocolate as well as tea and coffee, I would. Breakfast was amazing -- the best scrambled eggs I've ever tasted. The location was perfect for my visiting friends locally too.

Very friendly owners. Tea & flapjacks on arrival!. Nice communal area & alcoholic drinks, to purchase, available. Bedrooms cosy, as opposed to spacious: crucially, well-heated bedroom with easy to open windows, so temperature can be readily controlled to ones taste ( I hate air-conditioning almost as much as over-warm bedrooms ). Good en suite toilet/ shower room.

Lovely picturesque building with nice, clean, comfortable rooms and en-suite facilities. Outstanding hosts and staff, very friendly and keen to ensure that the customer is well served and their needs meet. Outstanding breakfast for a relatively small establishment offering lovely local produce, wide choice, freshly cooked but quickly served, all enjoyed in a lovely sunny breakfast room able to accommodate all guests at the same time comfortably. Rooms are comfortable and secure with TV with wide range of channels and Internet, bathroom soap, and teas/coffee/biscuits. Very good quick WiFi Internet access.

A very friendly welcome, something that was maintained throughout our stay. Comfortable room with spacious bathroom. Quiet location. Good sized lounge with well stocked honesty bar and plenty of local information/guide books. Excellent Yorkshire breakfast.

An extremely warm welcome and explanation of the services available. The proprietor even took time to recommend a restaurant for dinner, and also kept us fully informed by e mail prior to pur arrival. Breakfast was very good.

Chris was a very friendly host offering meal suggestions , (the wig wam restaurant was amazing ) Etc Our base for 2 nights for York Christmas shopping expedition( 40 mins drive) All was faultless only negative for us was no shower just a bath. Great breakfasts.

Nice experience in Nawton!
Very pleasant greeting. Shown to our rooms, helped with luggage and had various information explained. Provided with a welcome cup of tea. Our proprietor was very helpful with recommending local restaurants and very kindly offered to take us into Helmsley in his car so we could leave our cars at Plumpton Court and get a taxi back. Excellent breakfast.

Fantastic stay. We stayed up for a wedding and our host was very friendly and kind allowing us to drop our bags off early before the wedding. The following day he offered to drop us off in the neighbouring village to pick our car up. A good breakfast and selection, we really cant fault it.

Un superbe endroit, dans une superbe région. Notre hôte met les petits plats dans les grands, et l'on sent qu'il se fait plaisir en accueillant des visiteurs. Le lieu est superbement tenu, avec une grande attention portée au confort et à la décoration. Tout est impeccable et soigné. Le petit déjeuner est à l'avenant : rien ne manque sur les tables dressées avec raffinement et notre hôte fait le service en tenue. Chic, mais chaleureux. Serviable aussi. Nous sommes restés une nuit de plus, alors que ce n'était pas prévu. Idéal pour visiter la superbe région : son parc naturel aux paysages diversifiés, les impressionnantes ruines de l'abbaye de Rievaulx et le castle Howard.
