Portland apartment is our stunning new apartment located in a terrific spot just a 5 minutes' walk from the centre of York.
Located on Gillygate, one of the popular streets of York, with restaurants, shops and bars within a minutes' walk. It's the perfect spot, if you are wanting a luxury apartment to relax in after a long day exploring the beautiful city of York. Just a few minutes stroll from York's biggest attractions.
Heading into the apartment you will instantly notice the quirky layout of the apartment. Opening the apartment door, you will find a cosy separate dining area with a large window looking onto the street. A dining table to seat up to 4 guests, perfect for eating any type of meal, whether it be a takeaway ordered from one of York's variety of take out restaurants or a home cooked meal.
The living room offers a welcoming space with 2 extremely comfortable sofas and a large flat screen Tv perfect for relaxing after a busy day in the city.
The kitchen comes equipped with all the appliances and utensils you could need to make a simple meal, including a cooker, microwave, electric kettle etc.
There is a also a washer/dryer kept in the utility cupboard for your use.
The main bathroom consists of modern tiling throughout, a large corner bathtub and a walk in shower. There is a toilet in a separate room.
Sleeping 3 Guests, this apartment consists of 2 cosy yet spacious bedrooms.
The first bedroom you will come to is a spacious room with a comfortable single bed there is also a flat screen tv with built in Dvd player.
The 2nd Bedroom, consists of a cosy double bed, dressing table, large flat screen tv and spacious wardrobe/storage area.
Both bedrooms are furnished to an extremely high standard with modern contemporary decor. All bed linen is of an excellent hotel quality and luxury towels are provided throughout your stay. and cosy yet contemporary décor.
This property offers Free parking for one car in a private car park at the back of the property. Free high speed WIFI is provided throughout the apartment for the duration of your stay. The little yet essential things such as a hair dryer and iron/ ironing board are also provided, making it easier for you to pack for your stay! This family friendly property is in the perfect spot just a short walk in to the centre of York. Suitable for any length of stay, you can guarantee you will not be disappointed upon arriving.

Great place

Great location, the flat was right in the centre of York so it was very easy to get to all the local attractions. The fact that it has a parking space is an added advantage of this flat. Communication with the host was great before and during the stay. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Lovely house

Lovely house with beautiful furnishings, plenty of room for the 7 of us. Lots of cutlery, plates, glasses ect and a nice outdoor space. Quite a bit further out of York centre than we realised, but very quiet road with free parking which was great.

Great Stay!

The only downside to this place is the external noise. If you're a light sleeper (& we are) there's a fair bit of traffic noise as the main bedroom faces onto Gillygate which I believe is part of the inner ring road. But this did not at all effect us, nor would it deter us from booking this property again. It was a lovely stay though, this is truly a great place to stay & is located close to the city centre, ideally located for everything you could need.

We are a family of 3 and stayed for two nights in June. The host was easy to communicate with and super responsive when I got in touch with a query. The apartment is spacious and clean and in a great location. It is very close to the city walls and within easy walking distance of York's big attractions. It was ideal for a family weekend trip

Great weekend in the heart of the City

This property was perfect for what we were looking for during our visit to York. There was 3 of us travelling, the apartment was very spacious, beds were very comfy. Layout was ideal. Great location and just short walk into the heart of the city and there was pubs, cafes and shops on your doorstep. Parking space was provided. Hosts were very helpful and quick to communicate with. Very enjoyable stay, would book again without hesitation if we come back to visit York again.
