Small & functional. Single beds rather uncomfortable and can’t be joined together. Oven controls were difficult to understand, instructions would be helpful. Downstairs floor needed cleaning when we got there but generally the room was okay for a short stay. Sufficient cutlery, plates & glasses and dishwasher tablets provided; just make sure the control on the kitchen sink tap is switched on, otherwise the dishwasher doesn’t get any water. Only missing item was a cork-screw.

The place is very French and has unique decor. The staff was attentive. It was a fun place to stay.

The hotel is in an excellent location in the heart of Bryggen. Rooms are clean and spacious although there is only a small wardrobe area and no drawers at all. Rooms are not serviced during your stay and towels changed on request. We were there for 4 nights and needed to dispose of our own rubbish. On the plus side the complimentary afternoon fika and evening meal is a very good bonus and compliments the excellent breakfast. Finally, the bar is not the best and not really what you would expect from a 4 star property. Staff service was mixed ranging from extremely friendly & helpful to bordering on rude.

The hotel was very nice but the elevator was broken and we had to carry our suitcases up 4 flights of stairs. Going up and down 4 flights daily was not fun. Stayed here 3 nights , leaving today and still no working elevator.
