"Definitely accessible via train and walking, but I recommend taking a taxi from the station just because there’s not a lot of room for pedestrians. As far as the hotel goes, the staff are very kind and accommodating, there are several shops on the bottom floor, you’re able to purchase local goods at the front desk and there is an amazing kimono shop one block away called Aridayagofuku where you can buy very high-quality textiles, local jewelry, and seasonal kimono. "While our stay at this location was short, it was fantastic. They have put in quite a bit of work to make the hotel clean and well taken care of, they rent electric assist bicycles to get to town for groceries or exploring. My family loved the hot springs. Laundry onsite. Beautiful beach nearby, although not great for swimming or snorkeling it was very pretty, quiet, and private. Staff is incredibly helpful. They sell packages that include breakfast and dinner, but not lunch. The buffets are HUGE with tons of food and drink options. I 100% would stay here again."

"The food was excellent and the onsen at night overlooking the ocean and the lighthouse was incredible. If you're planning to go to Tomogashima island keep in mind that the ferry doesn't sail on Wednesday and may be cancelled on other days due to high wind. I was unable to make it to the island on my 2 night stay so I suppose I will just have to come back again!"
