"Our stay at Borgo Mandoleto was towards the end of a couple of week sin Italy. What a great way to wind up the trip! Donnatella and he husband are marvelous! Donnatella is a wonderful cook, I highly recommend eating with them at every opportunity. The property is just outside of the small village of Solomeo, near Perugia. It is quiet and relaxing. "A wonderful stay on the border or Umbria and Tuscany. Good position within 1hr drive to Siena, Montepulciano etc and within easy reach or the nearby lake for watersports, cycling and loads of options for restaurants at lots of price points. The lake is best swimmable by boat as the lake shore is quite barren and muddy. Depends on your priorities.The house itself is amazing and the back garden one of the best spots for cooking and views we have ever been. Simply stunning inside too with everything you need for a comfortable stay.The hosts are attentive when necessary and have left so much information for local services and town visits, so helpful. "
"Great rest stop on our way to Rome. There is no direct access to the lake (it's about a 2 km walk/drive from the hotel), but the hotel is clean and nice. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the free continental breakfast was wonderful! Great selection of pastries, and two very excellent coffee/cappuccino machines.
