Zona Hotelera Holidays

Royal Solaris was a great resort. The first room we were assigned had a toilet issue. They attempted to fix it but it continued to make a shrieking noise. We were then quickly assigned a different room. The rooms are spacious and clean. Loved the balcony and the view of the front of the hotel and the mountains. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The food was mediocre, but it's like that most all-inclusive resorts. The pool is massive and we were pleased that the resort was not crowded at all. The drinks were great and the entertainment was pretty enjoyable. The theater was incredible and we got to watch World Cup futbol matches there. They had different shows each night and I thought the talent was fantastic. *Please be advised that the beach there is not for swimming. The waves are rough and can be dangerous (black flag). We had to travel outside the resort to other swimmable beaches such as Palmilla Beach (15 mins away). Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this resort.

The elevator doesn’t work and my husband was trapped in it as soon as we arrived. The gym was unusable as it was under water. There is nothing close by in terms of groceries, the Walmart is closest but would be a 25 minute walk and do not recommend it. The appliances worked but all the cupboards smelled strong like vinegar. The safe didn’t work and the door code didn’t work and when we locked the door it still banged around because it didn’t fit properly. The pool was nothing special at all. The place was large, nice bedding, tons of towels, but overall not worth it. We were happy to check out. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The location was good. Not too far from the airport. The hotel Itself needs a makeover. You can tell it is a bit older. The views are nice, but there is no swimming in the ocean, the water is way too rough. The food was mediocre. The staff was accommodating. I liked that they had a braclet fob as a room key, very handy. The adults only pool areas were nice. The restaurants were kind of hot, no AC in the sky bar. The AC worked well in the room.
