Southern Iceland Adventure Holidays

Lovely hotel. We arrived on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready a couple of hours before check-in, which was greatly appreciated after traveling. We stayed in Room 808 (an executive room,) which was clean, comfortable, and appeared to have been refreshed recently. One unique feature was the shared balcony on the 8th floor, where we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights one evening. Access is through a door outside the guest rooms rather than directly from the room itself, which we actually preferred. Some rooms do have direct balcony access, so if you use the shared space, just be mindful of noise and avoid standing directly in front of other guests' doors. The breakfast was quite good. There was a nice selection of coffee and tea, eggs, bacon, sausage, skyr, fresh fruit, assorted breads, and pastries, which gave us plenty of options before heading out for the day. The only issue we encountered was that a couple of days into our stay I noticed I had been charged the full cost of the room on my credit card even though I had prepaid through Hotels.com. When I mentioned it at the front desk, the staff quickly looked into it and processed a refund right away. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The room was clean, the staff was helpful, the breakfast was good, and the early check-in was a wonderful surprise. I'd happily stay here again and would recommend it to others visiting Iceland.

Hotel accidentally overbooked and had to move us to a sister hotel. But the staff was great and gave us a complimentary upgrade with an early check-in, which made it very convenient for an early flight in.

This hotel was perfect. Clean, helpful and courteous staff. Some people will find the rooms small but they were adequate for our 10 day stay. Great location for public transport and walking distance to the center of Reykjavik. Would definitely stay here again.

Walking distance to very good restaurants, convenience stores, etc. Parking available at the back on a first come serve bases. Happy marriage pastry bars were on the breakfast buffet—-sooo good! All the employees were so helpful and polite. Hope to come back again one day.
