You should be mindful that there is a tram that takes you to the hotel from the Central Station BUT UBERS do not go or pick up right near the hotel. it is about a 5-10 minute walk to the uber pick up.

Bar was great and a couple cute restaurants nearby. The bigger room is great!

Very unique and beautiful historic building. My room had a great view of a canal with houseboats. Easy walking distance from train station and countless cute restaurants and shops in the old town canals and alleyways.

The gold standard of every hotel is right here.

Be prepared for steep stairs! I knew there wasn't an elevator, but staying on the fourth (US fifth) floor was a pretty steep hike. The room and bed were comfortable, though the TV didn't have a signal. The bathroom was a bit cramped, but the shower had great water pressure and hot water. There wasn't daily housekeeping in the room, which was fine for me, but FYI for others. I loved the convenience of the location -- it was close to a lot and super convenient, but on a quiet canal and so was nicely peaceful at night. It was also a lot closer to Waterlooplein than it seemed on the map, so that was a nice surprise when arriving. The room would be tight for two people, but wasn't too cramped for just me.

We loved our canal view terrace, and the outdoor seating. Definitely worth the upgrade. The staff was very helpful with area tips and solving our charger problem. Would stay here again.
