Nice hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Service fees were a bit much and the service fees at the restaurant was a bit much as well.

9/10 Wonderful! (2,103 reviews)
The terrace was spacious and with a nice view, however, as soon as we stepped out there, the Internet didn’t work, and even alerting hotel staff to this problem, didn’t fix the issue.

9.8/10 Exceptional! (1,212 reviews)
I've stayed in a lot of good quality hotels in New York, but this one was a bit different. My stay felt very safe and personable, I had everything I needed, and if I didn't I had the front desk to always guide me through any questions I had. Very clean rooms, and such an amazing surrounding area with lots of options for food

Overall, solid property and location. Although we once again, received no upgrade or anything for being a “VIP” member, but I think that’s more on Expedia than the hotel. I’m not sure I’ve ever received the VIP perk. The hotel location is great and the staff were excellent… even giving our 2 year old a stuffed animal upon arrival. Subway is right across the street. Only issue is that the elevator and hallways were hot.

What a fabulous gem of a hotel! The location couldn’t be better—close to all the cool tourist spots without the chaotic buzz of Times Square. Stepping into the lobby felt like entering a stunning oasis, and the staff? Absolutely amazing! They were super kind and genuinely eager to make us feel right at home.
Our room was perfect, featuring two comfy double beds and a shower that was pure magic! Seriously, that rain shower with its perfect water pressure was heavenly. Across the street, we hit the jackpot with The Smith restaurant. Not only was the food delicious, but it was also reasonably priced for such a prime location! We even tried another spot that charged nearly twice as much and was half as good. Shoutout to our sweet waitress who helped my daughter customize her order—it meant the world to us!
Now, a minor hiccup: the sink had a bit of a personality—once you turned it on, water shot out so fast that it splashed everywhere! You’d think I would have learned after the first soaking, but nope, here I was soaking wet again, ha!
The rooftop dining was a real treat, although the prices were a bit steep compared to local spots. But hey, you’re paying for those jaw-dropping views, and trust me, they were worth it!
Overall, we had a blast and made some unforgettable memories! If you're looking for a fun place to stay, this hotel is definitely the way to go—

This hotel was a decent value. I had a large room that was supposed to be 500sq ft+. Although it was large, I doubt it was that large - likely closer to 350-400. You can tell that some of the property has been redone (mostly furniture and wall hangings) but walls, baseboards and bathrooms are in real need of painting and updating. My room came with a kitchenette which was quite handy. First day I was there it was over 90° and the air conditioner clearly could not handle the heat. I asked them to check it but they didn’t do anything (they kept promising or saying I wasn’t in the room and couldn’t check) probably because of they already knew there was little they could do as units are old and need updating. Once the temperature cooled into the 80s, the room was fine. I was on the second floor facing the street level and the windows have tinted glass so you can keep the shades open without fear of being seen inside. New York is noisy but the street was calm and I didn’t have any trouble sleeping. The beds were comfortable and I would say the hotel was essentially a 3 1/2 star to 4 star only because the size of the rooms are larger than what you expect from a normal 3 1/2 star.. this could probably be an incredible hotel if some boutique took it over and redid all the rooms but in the current state if you’re looking for a good value for a business trip it probably suits - if you you’re bringing your girlfriend or wife and you want a more luxurious room, I’d skip it.
