Unfortunately I was disappointed to find the sports bar area closed for the duration of my staff without being informed at the time of booking. I booked this hotel for the pool/snooker area as there’s nothing else close by in walking distance. If I had been aware of this closure I’d of booked elsewhere, very disappointing communication as it was a special birthday celebration and we sat in the room and had to watch tv instead.

Beautiful building, excellent location, really comfortable bed & gorgeous bedroom.
We arrived around 12.30 our room was ready but couldn’t get in till 3pm or had to pay £20 which I think it isn’t necessary if the room is ready. Breakfast was nice but no menu on table eg: if wanted fried eggs, boiled or poached or porridge.
Spread was ok but lacking of choices: no cheese, no cold meat, no tomatoes etc.. only 1 machine to make hot drinks maybe need of a machine to only do teas.
