Sintra-Cascais Natural Park Beach Holidays

This is a must do hotel. There’s no doubt that The location and scenery are beautiful. However, it is to be visited once and that is it. We would not return. I had high hopes that this place would be incredible. It fell short of that. There’s one thing having a hotel that is outdated but there’s another thing having a hotel poorly maintained. Rooms felt as if they were not fully finished. Don’t get me wrong. They were clean but you can’t promote a hotel to be 4 stars and it barely having a proper bed to sleep in. It had two single beds pushed together with a sheet on top. Pillows that you can tell had been overused. No hair dryer. The hotel inside smelled like mold. The morning breakfast served poor food. Ham and cheese was the best on the menu. The swimming pool was being repaired upon arrival. Mind you the website clearly stated that it would be functioning starting June 1. Not the case. The pool deck was dangerous to walk on. The paint was coming off that as you walked it poked your feet. If you stepped wrong it would for sure cut you open. My three year old almost fell through the wooden old planks in the deep end part as we crossed the pool deck. The beach is right next door. That made it super accessible. It is naturally a very windy spot definitely made more for windsurfing etc. not for laying but we made the best of it. Just heads up. Overall yes do come and experience it—once. The view is the 4 stars it claims to be But not the hotel itself.

Not one room without a spectacular view. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Largest pool I can remember seeing and easy access down to the beach. Both the casual restaurant and dinner were lovely. Breakfast each day, which we had included, was a great way to ease into a pool day. Rooms were comfy and the private balcony a treat. Can’t wait to return.

This place is best suited for a quick, no-frills golf trip. In terms of quality, it sits somewhere between a Hampton Inn and a Moxy. If this property were advertised as a 3-star hotel, it would be alright . However, claiming to be a 5-star establishment is a joke, and I will not be returning. Stay at the sister property Onyria Marinha Cascais, Vignette Collection by IHGfor about the same price for better room and staff

We were really pleased with the service we received at the hotel. We arrived after an early start and a delay in the immigration section of Lisbon airport and were greeted by the reception team. They made the process very easy for us. The room was more than we expected with a separate lounge area and large King-size bed. We had a small terrace and sea view. We couldn't ask for more. We only had breakfast but everything was of a good standard with many choices. The waiting staff were helpful and friendly at all times. The facilities were great and we made use of the spa, gym and pool area. The hotel is approx 15 mins by taxi from Cascais and there is only one restaurant nearby. Ubers are plentiful and fairly cheap. There is a bus stop outside but the buses are pretty unreliable, keep an eye on google for updates. However, bus travel was free. A great stay, would recommend to others
