Food was not as bad as other reviews said

The Altitude tower had an amazing view of the ocean! The room was spacious and comfortable and nicely appointed. It would have been nice to have a proper table and chairs to eat at when ordering room service. We loved the à la carte breakfast service at the Grill and the staff there was excellent. The breakfast buffet was not as clean, food was not as good and not the same offerings, and service was not as attentive. For dinner Risotto had delicious Italian food, Hacienda Del Mortero had delicious tacos and the Grill was great too. Portions are small but we liked this as we could try a variety of dishes without wasting food. Ayami was our least favourite restaurant as the Asian food is not authentic but the fish was very fresh. The dinner buffet was mediocre with limited offerings. The Surfos bar was great. We enjoyed the hotdog and hamburger stand by the pool! Sky lounge was nice and usually quiet. The main pool was really nice with a great view of the beach. We were mostly in the adult pool where the swim up bar was located but it needed some work as some tiles were missing and it often seemed scummy with sunscreen. There was a lack of loungers available poolside and some were a bit broken. Would be nice to have more umbrellas and loungers on the beach. You cannot swim at the beach - surf is very rough. Black flag everyday. Beach is gorgeous for walking. Overall a nice resort. A little tired in some areas in need of renovation and a bit understaffed in the restaurants.

Great place to enjoy friendly birds taking bread products from your table. Seriously, love feeding this resort’s birds. Staff is great and food is top notch. Pool is very nice. Promising surf fishing. But above all, don’t forget to feed the birds.

Very relaxing place. Not a party scene if that's what you're looking for thought the Infiniti pool can be very fun during the day. Food was pretty good. The Steakhouse was overrated in my mind. The Pool side restaurant The Corral was very good. The Pulled Pork sandwich is incredible.

In general they had good service but it doesn't give you the feeling of a high end place. They charge $26 USD for a drink and serve in to go plastic cup

We spent Spring Break Easter week with our 2 daughters at Villa La Valencia. We did all inclusive and felt everything was perfect. The place is pristine the food was great the staff all knew my name by the end of the week. There was plenty of friends for our daughters to make by the family pool. We paid extra for a few activities at the kids club. All the staff from the kids club said hi to my daughter after while we were around the property and she loved the time spent. The balcony spaces were great to hang when we were in the room watching the beach and waves. The all inclusive had quality options for liquor there are premium alcohol options as an upgrade but the selection was plentiful. The whole week was perfect and we were already being asked when are we going back to Mexico by our daughters
