Great hotel overall and honoring Edvard Grieg.

This 2 bedroom apartment was perfect for myself, my husband and our grown daughter. Great restaurants, delicious coffee and beautiful parks all within easy walking distance. Proximity to the university gave the neighborhood a fun vibe. Would definitely stay here again!

One of the days I stayed was a local holiday, but it was not made clear that breakfast service that day would be later than usual.I was leaving early for a day-trip and had to go without the breakfast I had expected (& paid for).

I've been to many many fine hotels. Charmante is #1. It was a "pinch me" experience. And somehow the staff were just as wonderful as the property! Seriously, this place is worth traveling for just to stay at. The room, the 2nd floor coffee lounge (unreal), the 4th floor speakeasy, the restaurant, the art, the decor. Each was a 10/10.

The location is great and the rooms are spacious and spotless. However the sushi restaurant that allegedly has a Michelin star was disappointing. The service was terrible and the sushi rice was dry. And the selection was small.
