Tenerife Cheap Holidays

The Sol Tenerife Hotel is a reasonable hotel at a good price , it is clean with decent enough food , nice balcony with a good view of the sea and or area. Cheap but the following to note... The room for two has one plug socket in the floor skirting, none for charging phones etc , the receptionist said this was normal. No bottled water put in the room, would have been nice to have a coffee on the balcony as it was pleasant to sit out. Single beds (hard to cuddle). Good air con and lighting. The hotel is close by a night club has very very loud music until 4-5am , even with door tightly shut. The facilities are nice , a friendly bar (just one) has the odd queue but not really an issue , only buffet food available, no on site restaurant but the buffet was good. It lacked being seen to a table and free (or part of all inclusive) wine from a bottle (it is on tap) . All inclusive still cost money - bottled water cost £1.40, after 11pm (which you need if music playing until 5am) you pay for everything and a euro for a new glass. The clientele did have the tendency to smell of dope. On site staff were friendly , a couple of reception staff acted like they would rather be at the pool than working. Lastly , it is very slippy , we have a deep cut on an elbow and a sore back thanks to slipping , one lady said she fell over 3 times that day and was sober. Nice enough but will pay a bit more for no music , a restaurant and a few plugs next time.

Very dated apartment, poor Wi-Fi, broken locks on patio door. We have stayed in much newer and better apartments on this resort.

We booked the room with the private hot tub (not the solarium). I will say - the hotel is great, but don’t book it through hotels.com or you will get a view of the dump. Every time I book through Hotels.com I always get stuck in the worst room with a view of the dumpster. Other than that, the hotel was nice, good location, fantastic pool area. The spa was under construction while I was there. The breakfast buffet was good but each day there was something slightly off, for example little bugs all over the lettuce, or the scrambled eggs were runny. So, that could be improved. Room service, house keeping and turn down service were excellent.

I'll start by saying that our expectations were far exceeded. Admittedly, as a US based traveling couple, we had never heard of Royal Garden Villas previously and simply found this property through the use of AI and comparisons to Bali. Once we arrived, we were delighted with our reception and check-in process, the first walk through of the room and exterior patio were better than any pictures on the internet, and we kept it simple our first night and ordered room service. Our first morning, we enjoyed the buffet breakfast, with plenty of options to satisfy the pickiest of palates. And we noticed on subsequent mornings, the buffet menu changed, keeping it from becoming predictable and even making it a little exciting to see what what was new that morning. Housekeeping was quick and complete, never intruding upon our time in our villa. Room service was often delivered ahead of the promised time. Although this property is not directly located on the shoreline, it is within 5 to 10 minutes via taxi. The benefit of this is that we were able to escape the busy parts of Adeje and La Caleta but had ready access to restaurants whenever we felt like venturing out. And the views from the villas, across the golf course and towards both the city lights and shoreline more than made up for our distance from the water. This is a peaceful and quiet property. Its a great option for couples. We hope to return one day as we will always cherish our memories from this trip.
