The look of the hotel was clean and bright being recently refurbished. The hotel is convenient for the major sites and on the edge of the Triana district overlooking the river. There is an excellent restaurant with far reaching views of the city. We had booked bed and breakfast and there was a good variety of quality food. There is also a rooftop bar with stunning views, especially at night when the city is lit up. A small pool with sun beds is situated to the other side of the restaurant. Our major gripe was our room, which had a city view terrace. This was possibly the worst room with a terrace (324) in the hotel. It looked directly into a property situated very close to the side of the hotel. What made it worse was a strong smell of sewage even on the 5th floor. Having paid quite a bit extra for the room,the terrace was not usable. There was also a small nest of bugs near the bed which a member of staff came up and sprayed. This seemed to sort out the problem. So in hindsight we would have been better to have a standard room and pay much less, or upgrade to the river view terrace.
