Ilha da Culatra Golf Holidays

We really enjoyed our stay at The Aquashow Hotel. My daughter and I stayed there for 6-days. We were in Loulé for the Loulé cup that my daughter was competing in. The hotel is very clean and walking distance to the WAter park. There is a nice indoor and outdoor pool. The staff are very nice and accommodating, and the rooms are spacious. In addition, the breakfast and dinner buffet are delicious. Many great food options. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Really lovely hotel. Although there was a clothes shop within the hotel it would have been good to have a small convenience store for water, snacks or even a vending machine. Although drinks and snacks were available at the pool bar, they were expensive. Also didn’t like that a service charge was added at every single transaction. The reception staff were extremely helpful. Nothing was too much bother. In particular when my son got badly sunburnt, I had asked about a nearby chemist but they were kind enough to give me cream which worked wonders. The location is out a bit from any sort of bars/shops. However it was only a 15 minute walk and the Ubers were very reasonable. If you are looking for a relaxing, slow paced break away from the hustle and bustle or a keen golfer this is a great hotel to stay at!

A beautifully situated and well appointed boutique hotel graced with courteous, efficient, multilingual staff. The pool and decking is framed with magnificent Mediterranean pines and rosemary. Gym is well equipped and the breakfast buffet abundant. Bedlinen is the finest, softest most silken cotton and the pillows provide a sweet slumber. Clientele in July was a mix of Portuguese ( a good sign when you stay in a country that its own people choose it) and some English, Irish and Italians. Guests were mostly well behaved.

Good base for the area, car recommended as limited options for dining in the local area. Rooms are great, cleaned daily. Pool areas are good, not crazy busy, plenty of sun loungers.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the newly opened Viceroy Ombria Algarve, and it exceeded our expectations in nearly every way. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome—genuinely friendly, attentive, and always eager to help without being intrusive. The architecture is truly a standout feature: modern yet rooted in the local aesthetic, with beautiful design touches throughout that made the entire property feel luxurious and unique. The pools were absolutely incredible—serene, well-designed, and perfect for relaxing under the Algarve sun. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean, and every space feels modern and updated, clearly reflecting the care that went into its recent opening. We also spent some time at the spa, which was nothing short of perfection. From the ambiance to the quality of treatments, it was a top-tier wellness experience. The on-site restaurants were also excellent. Each meal we had was flavorful and beautifully presented, with a variety of options that catered to both local and international palates. One important note for future guests: the hotel is located in the countryside, so it’s a good 30–45 minutes by car to the coastal Algarve towns and beaches. A rental car is definitely recommended if you plan to explore beyond the resort.
