Holy Island Kid friendly Holidays

Ok hotel for one night after long day. Rather dated, breakfast was very average and not woth the extra.

Its a beautiful place to stay, we were at a family wedding absolutely perfect, gardens were gorgous sun was shining... Rooms are very unique beautiful, breakfast was lovely, staff so helpful...great place to stay !!!

The room was excellent, bed was so comfortable that we slept in on our 1st night, leaving only 1 and a half hours to get ready for a wedding we were going to. The bathroom was lovely, a large shower with rainfall head. Very deep bath that we used on 2nd day. A great menu and restaurants to choose from. The bar was so welcoming with a great whiskey selection for myself and cocktail selection my partner loved. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Our stay Matfen Hall was excellent and I highly recommend. We didn’t use the spa facilities this time but definitely will on our return. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay a pleasure

Lovely staff. Very very convenient location. Bedroom carpet looked dated though bedding was good. Spring bed creaked a little.

Another excellent short stay in the centre of Newcastle.
