Connacht Kid friendly Holidays

There is no AC so the room stayed warm even in September with the two small windows open.

The hotel is nice enough, and in a decent location to have quick access to Galway. We requested a king room; we’re not sure why there was a king bed plus two other single beds in our room. That wasn’t a problem, but it was very odd. One big item that made us quite unhappy: a total lack of hot water for a morning shower. I can only assume that too many people are getting ready and their hot water just can’t keep up. It was not a pleasant surprise and staff didn’t really seem to care too much. Also, be aware the parking lot in front of the building is very limited, and with very tight spaces. There may be more parking in the back; we didn’t need to check.

This was a lovely hotel in athenry. The rooms are a bit small, but clean and tidy. Food was very good and staff were friendly and helpful. Great place to stay.

Used Salthill as a base for traveling by car to Connemara during the day and quick taxi into Galway Latin Quarter in the evenings. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff were lovely.
