I love everything about this place

Hotel overall was good, staff was excellent, food was good, pools were clean, and the property was very clean. The restaurants were clean and food was very good. Overall the hotel experience is nice and you will enjoy your stay... However, during our stay the beach was a mess it was totally dark/black water no one could swim, the hotel was not doing much to try to clean it. The hotel next door they had a team working to clean the beach and it allow their guest to use some of the beach. To be fair a lot of hotels had this same issue, however some hotel at least were trying to do something about it. The other issue is with Cancun itself, it is decaying, there are properties that are abandoned all around the hotel area, the streets are not taking care of, garbage all around the hotel zone area, when you walk around is not as lively as it used to be and on some areas you really do not feel safe around the hotel zone. My suggestion is do not go to Cancun during summer months you will not be able swim due to the dark water on the beaches, if you get a really good deal go during Autumn to Spring months, if you go in the summer you will be disappointed no question. Also consider not going to Cancun at all it is decaying because the city is not investing in the infrastructure and it shows, take your money and go to the Caribbean or Hawaii you will definitely enjoy yourself there best.

Ocean view , clean rooms

We had a wonderful stay at Palace Peninsula. The staff is amazing--from kind hosts & waiters, hardworking custodial staff kept the property clean, everyone was helpful. Pool parties were fun & lively with people of all ages. Water shoes were great for the pool parties (not necessary though). Wide variety of entertainment available including art/painting, fitness & games. Food was very good & beautiful presentation.

Clean room but the mattress were super hard, I asked for a memory foam that they can put it on top but it never arrived. Staff were supper friendly, food was very good but not much variety.

It was ok for what it is described before booking and we basically just showered and slept there for the most part. We had issues with the bathroom from when we arrived where the shower would flood the whole bathroom due to no door. They finally moved us to a new room when the toilet wouldnt flush. Pools were ok but they didn't really have any activities going on like at other properties we have stayed at.
