I had a really positive stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. The location is excellent for the NEC and also close to the High Street, while still being far enough away that the hotel itself felt peaceful. My Grand Room was spacious, very clean and comfortable, and I appreciated the hotel accommodating my last-minute upgrade and doing its best to honour my room requests. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. A special thank you to Saleem, the Deputy General Manager, and Lucy for their help during my stay. Saleem also very kindly waived my overnight parking charge, which I greatly appreciated. A few things prevented me from giving five stars. Room 351 had a noticeable humming noise from nearby machinery, and the room remained quite cold despite using the heating function. The bathroom also became extremely hot and steamy, and the extraction did not appear to work effectively. A fridge would have been useful, as would slippers for the very cold bathroom floor. There were also a couple of small housekeeping oversights with soap and bin liners. I would also encourage the hotel to consider complimentary parking for resident Blue Badge holders. I didn't have enough time to experience all the hotel's amenities, but overall I felt very well looked after. It was a great place to stay, with genuinely helpful staff, and I would happily return.

I liked the location and also the modern design of the hotel and furnishings overall. The rooms are however very small, there is very little storage for clothing with just a hanging rail above the fridge ( yes, terrible). The bathroom is also very small and narrow. The worst for me was the lack of an actual breakfast. No, you do not get to go to a main restaurant and get to choose from a variety of cooked and continental together with fresh tea and coffee. At this hotel they bring you a wicker basket with some mini school meals type of foods: a mini box of rice crispies, a mini muffin, one babybell, a mini milk, a mini juice, mini spreads ( jam, nutella, marmalade and butter) but without any toast ( perhaps the hotel expects you to eat these spreads with your fingers straight from the little pots), one mini weetabix. This hotel isn’t upfront about the breakfast offering on the booking platforms however they do charge standard full breakfast rates as all other hotels that actually do offer a real breakfast. I will not stay here again and I don’t recommend it to anyone. For context, yes I did query at reception why they offered such a poor breakfast and if they have other options and the answer was ‘that’s all we have’.

This was a very nice hotel with elegant rooms. The bed was very comfortable. We were upgraded to a larger room because we were my millennium members. We also got to spend a wheel and won complementary drinks at the bar. Everything is Beatles themed, it is a classy place that is conveniently located to the cavern club, restaurants, and shopping area areas. We came in on the train and left at the bus station and were able to walk to both from this hotel. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

I have to say the bedroom and bathroom were very clean. There is no reception, so you get an email with entry codes. Simple. The main annoyance was the cheap mattress through which you can feel and hear the springs. But if you have had a few drinks or are tired will not be a problem. And the loo seat was loose. But it's cheap and a shortish walk from the cathedral and city, so it's fine. Person emailing was nice too.

I have visited UStay apartments previously and it didn’t disappoint 2nd time around. Everything you need is in a nearby location, whether that be a shopping trip or going for the night life, every thing is nearby. The apartments were very clean and well looked after.

Parking is a nightmare on game days
