Pannonia Hotel Guide. Hotels in Sopron, Pannonia, Hungary

The Wollner Hotel is a small intimate hotel in the old historic area of Sopron. Parking can be a problem though the hotel let us park right outside our hotel since we were only staying one night and it wasn't busy at all. Our room was what we expected for the town and the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. They had a nice though simple breakfast. I was most impressed with the fine Hungarian wines. The more commercial area was a short block walk. We drove a rental car from Prague

Very nice hotel, comfortable, clean and quiet! 10/10

I spent one night at the Civitas Boutique Hotel. It is very conveniently located about a ten minute walk from the train station and at the edge of the old city center. My room was very comfortable, clean, and quiet and overall an excellent value for the price. The staff was pleasant and professional. The breakfast was particularly good, with all items very fresh and well prepared.

What a great location! This quite modern hotel is located in the heart of the old town, which is in fact car-free except for taxis and the occasional pizza delivery. The hotel is spacious, comfortable, with a wonderful buffet breakfast included, and friendly, helpful staff. On our last morning we had to leave before breakfast so the night duty person packed us a picnic breakfast to have on the train.

Nice hotel in the center of town and close to everything. Approximately 1km from the train station. Room was very large and clean. Breakfast was great and staff were very friendly. Would certainly stay there again.

This is a quiet, small, simple hotel in a quiet but not central part of Sopron. The reception (the owner) is helpful and polite, and speaks some English (but far beter Hungarian). The hotel is a modern building, so don't expect antiques and historic character. The design is thoughtful, mostly rare in pensions and small hotels. For example, there are solar motion sensors in the parking lot. And the parking lot is fenced and guests get a remote opener for the duration of the stay. The single room was small but adequate. Several double rooms were more spacious. The breakfast was adequate, a plate of cold cuts beautifully presented, plus a mini=buffet of bread, cereal, and drinks. This is certainly good value. It is especially good for travelers with a car. For those on their own using trains or other public transortation, it is a long walk.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. One of them even lent me her iPhone charger twice!
