"I liked the restaurant that is within walking distance. Less than a min walk. LOVED the quietness. Something I didn’t like was that when my sister was making her bed, a flea was on her pilllow so we left the pillow outside in the balcony chair and let the front desk know. They didn’t do nothing about it but just give us a new pillow case and got an attitude saying “show me the flea show me the flea.” Like, we left the pillow outside of course the flea is gonna leave. But overall, the price was...

"We really enjoyed our stay! The house is very clean, spacious, and in a lovely neighborhood. It has a great view of the ocean and a very short walk to the beach (1/2 block). We spent most of our time in the kitchen and living room area because it is so roomy, bright, and comfortable. The huge decks are a bonus to lay out or to enjoy the evenings. We would definitely stay here again. "

"With 5 king suites, the layout of this house is perfect for multiple couples. We are a family of 5 separate couples and everyone felt they had their own space when needed. We also loved all the decks on the house. The location is a bit away from larger grocery stores and restaurants, but the tradeoff is a peaceful quiet beach atmosphere. "In the 25 plus years I have been staying in OBX this place has had the most comfortable beds EVER! And I have been in motels, hotels, rental houses through companies as well as Vrbo and such. Walkable to the beach and restaurants were nice as well."

"This was just a great place to stay! Very convenient (and walkable) to lots of places to eat. Rooms were clean and simple and perfect. The whole property was clean and well kept. The staff we met, Billy and Braedon, were very friendly and helpful and provided us with loads of information—guiding us to come back!! The other staff in the office were super friendly and helpful too. We are so glad life afforded us to come to Avon and stay at the Avon Motel!! "

"This was a last minute stay since we did not plan on going to Outer Banks. The hotel was one of the few on the beach and located right as you enter Buxton. I chose this hotel because of prior reviews & happy that I did. The room was clean and comfortable and included a small kitchenette. There were a few eating places within walking distance & a very nice grocery store (Conner’s) a quick 3 min drive away "
