Glengarriff is surrounded by ancient broadleaved woodland and rugged blanket bog, whereas Garnish Island is one of Ireland's most famous formal gardens. A real surprise surrounded by such wilderness. Glengarriff village has some really good restaurants at very reasonable prices. A must visit location.
