Learn more about Glengarriff

Nestled in a sheltered harbour, this charming village offers boat trips to the lush gardens of Garnish Island and scenic walks through ancient oak forests. Take a guided tour of Bantry House nearby or kayak the peaceful bay waters when tides are favourable.

Glengarriff and Garnish provide extreme landscapes adjacent to each other. Glengarriff is surrounded by ancient broadleaved woodland and rugged blanket bog, whereas Garnish Island is one of Ireland's most famous formal gardens. A real surprise surrounded by such wilderness. Glengarriff village has some really good restaurants at very reasonable prices. A must visit location.
