"This is a lovely boutique hotel taking up a few high floors in a large building right opposite the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. Each room is named after a different Egyptian God. Friendly staff, beautifully decorated rooms, and fantastic location. Downsides were that I paid $20 for early check-in (which seems pretty pricey), my room (Bastet) had a sewage smell so might have a drain problem, and the lift doors are very difficult to open and close."

"This hotel it’s perfect if you want to have breakfast in front of the pyramids, it can’t get any better than the view they have. It’s clean, they’re working on the elevator and other areas, but in general its ok. The breakfast its very authentic, with different side dishes and wonderful bread and coffee, but Ali Baba makes you feel very welcome, he made our breakfast time the best. Their staffs it’s always ready to help you, like Hassam, always trying to make you feel welcome. Just be advised...

"Right across the street from the Egyptian Museum. Room was very nice. The only negative is the access as there is no sign outside....our taxi driver didn't want to let us out there, but luckily he asked a man on the street who pointed out the entrance "

"You’ll get the best view of the Pyramids from this place. It’s literally right across the street. Excellent stone work inside. Also has an upper deck for eating & observation which is really great. The mattresses are extra firm. Not my preference but the room a/c will freeze you out. Breakfast is included. Not your average western omelette but it’s filling. You Love the view. "Great location, super noisy if you have a city view room . Also, the bathroom in the room had s weird smell - not that it was not clean, but like there was something with the sewage. The location is great and zamalek is a great neighborhood, safe and walkable. The hotel is not as taken care of as it shows in the photos when you book- a bit decadent but overall clean. "
