I had just finished a jam packed tour of Italy with massive crowds at places like the Roman Forum and The Colosseum. To arrive to such solitude and quiet was a joy like no other. "The Savus Boutique Hotel was perfect. The service and attentiveness by Lucia, Alexandria, and Gianni’s? Were great. Perfect size, big enough to be a full business- small enough for personal attention. English is spoken by staff. Breakfast on the large patio is perfect for several guests at a time, and the food was a great combo of cold and hot dishes plus prepared eggs! Location is right at the line between old town and the newer section. We will stay there again if our travels take us to Crete."

All our needs were addressed with joy and compassion. The hosts offered detailed advice about all the great places to visit. My husband had a health issue and we were pointed to the best clinic. As well, due to the issue, extra care was taken in our room. Truly a gem of a small hotel!"

"A great location on the northeast edge of the old town and very close to (paid) parking lot. It's clean, quiet and convenient to everything in old town. This time we stayed on the ground floor which you might prefer if you have trouble climbing stairs."

The pool was an added bonus. The hotels location is within 5 mins walk to the restaurants and bars and only a 10 min walk to the beach. "This was our 6th trip here, so obviously there is a lot to love. Three times as a couple, this was 3rd with two younger generations. Staff are lovely - although there is a risk of wine recommendations becoming a sales pitch. There are lots more hotel-organised trips available than before. This can provide comfort and confidence to new visitors but you can save money if you choose to arrange them yourself. Pool area is beautifully kept and clean. "Good sized well located hotel with spacious bar/lounge area. Strangely elongated bedroom with inadequate bedside lights. "

"Amazing hotel, located next to the beach (just need to cross the road). Very friendly staff and attentive. One evening there were rain and they offered us umbrella and there was other small details to make our stay better. We had a room with sea view. Room was clean, had fridge and electric stove, so you can warm your food. Also they had plates and cutlery. There is no parking next to the hotel, but we find a space just in 2 minutes walk. City centre is in walking distance. "
