Our room was very comfortable and spacious, quiet, and spotlessly clean, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The atmosphere of the hotel, with its elegant decor and spa facilities, made it the perfect base to explore the beauty of the Dordogne region. Both Sarlat and the surrounding area are simply magnificent — full of history, amazing food, and stunning scenery. We truly loved our time here and would return without hesitation. "I personally don't like having to carry 25 kg of linen on my back across 400 m, and then spend one hour putting the linen on the beds, coming back to the reception because they did not give us the right set, puzzling over which linen goes where, etc. Sure they provide caddies, but they seem to always be taken or in a state of disrepair. I have seen this type of campground-like hotel approach in other places in France, but never in any of my travels any other place in the world. I would prefer to know in advance that this is a campground mindset so as to avoid it. To me, it's like if someone invites me for dinner and asks me to clean the toilet while they cook."

"Truly beautiful setting, wonderfully elegant. Dining on the terrace with hot air balloons floating on the horizon- so picturesque. Wonderful place. Indoor and outdoor pools provide excellent relaxation. Many good restaurants nearby, but we were happy breakfasting and dining at the chateau. "
