Top Clonakilty Hotel Reviews

Kinsale Hotel & Spa

Kinsale Hotel & Spa

8/10 Good
"Beautiful location and lovely staff, but a mixed stay The hotel is in a beautiful, peaceful location with stunning views over the bay and our room was excellent spacious, comfortable and really well presented. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, welcoming and consistently helpful.Breakfast was also very good, with excellent service each morning. However there were two weddings during our stay, which I feel had a noticeable impact on the overall atmosphere. While hotel guests were still able to access all areas, as non- wedding guests we often felt as though we were intruding on a private celebration. The reception foyer, terrace and outdoor spaces and bar were very much centred around the wedding parties, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy the hotel in the way we had expected from our break. Our final night, when there was no wedding, highlighted this clearly, the hotel felt completely different, relaxed, and far more enjoyable, and we were able to fully appreciate the facilities. In terms of location and transport, a car is really essential. There is a local bus service, but it only runs a few times a day. The hotel shuttle is also very restricted, only operating for short periods and one way.Taxis are available but expensive, there is no Uber in the area, and early Sunday morning taxis can be difficult to secure before around 9–9:30am. Overall, while the hotel has beautiful surroundings, excellent staff we felt the weddings impacted our stay."

"Place was beautiful. Room has a loud noise going next to it and the bathroom trashcan was not emptied - sanitary napkins in it - gross. Other than that it was fine."

Dunmore House Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, views are amazing, grounds are wonderful, forwarding always excellent. The only thing I would say is that due to the changing weather, the rooms had no working AC..a ceiling fan with the ocean breeze from the windows would have been very helpful"
