"The room was quite modern & comfortable especially considering the building is -800 years old. The location is fabulous. Chris checked us in & was very helpful, as were the other members of staff. We highly recommend the Chapter House to anyone who appreciates a hotel with a bit of character."

"The staff were pleasant and helpful. My room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. However the walls in the room were only partially decorated and appeared to be unpainted or papered. Reception said this was a style but its not one I like or have encountered before. My children were in the same type of room as me but their room was properly decorated. I also noticed some landings on the stairs were uncarpeted a work in progress perhaps?"

"Beautiful manor house. The room was good, not to my taste in terms of design (everything brown, photos on the website were showing different designs) but all of good quality. My husband didn't find the pillows comfortable (too big) but it was fine for me. The only inconvenience was that the cooked breakfast takes a long time to wait as you order it, literally like dinner waiting time. We tried to solve that by ordering to the room by a certain time the next day but they still brought it 20min...

"A charming and characterful property. Very impressed with the overall experience. Rooms were spacious and facilities were good. Slightly thin walls in the bathroom (could hear the neighbouring guest toileting). Pleasant staff. Exceptional food (dinner menu was excellent). Breakfast catered for in the early hours which was appreciated. Would most certainly return. "

"This was a one night stay we had the deluxe room this was on the second floor with two flights of stairs the second set being quite steep which my wife found a bit difficult to climb room was clean but could do with a freshen up and the window cleaned "

"We really enjoyed our one night stay here. the staff were all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good. The room was beautiful. we managed to park at the hotel for £10 which was great. The hotel itself is really lovely and when we are looking to stay in the area again, I will definitely look to come back. "

"Our room was lovely, very spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well stocked. It was very quiet at night too, no banging doors, although not sure if it was because the hotel itself was quiet. The only negative was that the room was incredibly hot at night. We had to have the windows open quite wide overnight. "

"The Ormond was ideal for our overnight stay in Tetbury.We enjoyed a drink and socialising with the locals in the bar,which had a good vibe about it.Our ground floor room was smartly furnishedand plenty big enough.The queen size double bed was very comfortable and the en-suite shower/toilet was well decorated, clean and provided plenty of powerful hot water both in the evening and morning.Our full english and vegetarian breakfast choices were well presented and ample in size.We enjoyed our stay...
