"I booked this hotel for a night prior to taking an Avalon river cruise. The hotel was clean and the bed was super comfortable. The room was a bit smaller and more dated than it appears in the photos, but it was still nice. Note -- some reviews stated that the wine was gratis -- it was not, I had to pay for it on checkout! The tram runs right below the window and so it was a bit noisy to keep the window open, but there are lots of trams in Basel, so any hotel would probably have the same issue....

"Quiet courtyard facing room. Excellent front desk. I’m not a fan of the linen duvet cover/pillows, but that’s personal preference. Note no hair conditioner, if you need that. Free water/coffee/tea on each floor. Easy walk from sbb. "
